Pre Saturday

Pre-saturday in Sarasota...saying it's Friday just doesn't seem adequate to describe today. It was a wonderfully hot, humid Florida and got up to about 85 F.

I was out on the beach this afternoon having my first run of the week, and the beach was a complete mob scene. The public beach was an absolute swarm of humanity - kids, teenagers, college kids, parents, seniors, in every size shape and colour imaginable - pasty white skin, pink skin, red skin, brown, brown red, and so on...you get the picture. If someone said that sun causes skin cancer...no one on Siesta Key Beach has heard about it!! There were people so brown from the sun it was amazing!!!

But it was a beautiful day, a great run and all is well.

Traffic to and from Tampa was also unbelievable - stop and start or 80 miles an hour, and believe me, there was more stop than anything. We sat on the bridge for over half an hour and have no idea what the problem was ...oh well. Patsy arrived on time and once we got her bag we were off, and got home about 6:30.
