Canasta Champion!

The McGee girls have a bit of a reputation (according to my friend Patsy) of being card players - I only play when with the sisters, but they both play a lot of bridge, canasta and the like, so like a giant magnet, I'm in the card playing group...sp we have a few hands of Canasta each night and tonight was my grand slam!! My eldest sister Gwen, is quite the player (quite strategic) and I even beat her...quite the accomplishment. 


So today, Gwen went to Tampa for a little casino experience (playing 21) and Janet and I went to the pool with Steve, had a swim and then went downtown to Marina Jack's for a lunch on the waterfront (but forgot to take any pictures!). Very tasty meal and scenic waterfront - with their million dollar boats lined up along the quay. (Economy seems pretty good in spite of what they are saying). 


Tonight, we had a dinner out at Roy's (Hawaiian fusion) and had an excellent repast...complete with a birthday cake (chocolate soufflé) and candle for the birthday girl (Janet is 65 in April)!!
